Napa Valley, California

San Francisco; the name conjures up endless visions of nightlife and romantic walks along the waterfront. Our adventure begins just 30 miles north, where we'll encounter magnificent redwoods, rugged coastlines, and the romantic hills of the wine country.

Days 1 and 2, the California Coast
We'll cross the Golden Gate Bridge on our bikes, pedaling our way to the scenic waterfront community of Sausilito for a picnic lunch and afterward, a shuttle to Muir Woods for a hike through the giant redwoods and continue north on scenic Highway 1to the Point Reyes Seashore Lodge. The next day we'll spend some time kayaking to remote beaches and lagoons of Tomales Bay

Day 3, Sonoma Valley
We'll ride the incredible backroads of the Sonoma Coast through rolling ranch lands. After stopping in historic Sonoma, we'll head to Sugar Loaf Ridge for a sunset horseback trail ride.

Days 4, 5 &6, Napa Valley
We'll bike through the vineyards to Napa Valley, where we'll pick up the Silerado Trail and head north to the quaint town of St. Helena and our lodgings at the Harvest Inn. In the morning we'll take on the foothills surrounding Napa Valley, biking past ranches and wineries, through canyons and over hills, and beside rushing streams and placid lakes. Afterwards, you can choose between one last hike in the foothills or an afternoon at the spa and a special winery tour and tasting. We'll dine at the unsurpassable Tra Vigne restaurant. As we head back to San Francisco, we'll stop at one more winery for a last taste of wine country hospitality
